European Patent Register: countries adhered to the European Patent

The European Patent is processed by the European Patent Office, which, by means of a single application, allows to obtain protection in each and every one of the member countries of the Munich Convention.

Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Monaco, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, San Marino and Turkey, Montenegro. Also, a state that recognise European patents on request, which is Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Morocco, Moldova, Tunisia.
In addition, a European patent application allows the registration of a patent in Hong Kong as an extension.
